Founder
Egged on by the deep belief that the skills gained through the activity of woodworking are skills for life, I built up the courage to keep pivoting the structure and offering of Studiyo Lab, all the while trying to understand the constantly changing dynamics of people’s psychologies and government restrictions. It was a very challenging time for a home grown start up business like mine. Whilst many businesses shut down during the pandemic, and despite the challenges of not being a business that could go online, the same agile mindset we were teaching helped us survive and grow.
It started with building a team that shared the passion and belief in the benefits of hands-on making for kids, the constant development of our offerings and programs integrating the feedback of our little makers and their parents, to growing our offering to keep our little makers engaged, learning and happy.
For us, this is just the beginning of the story. We still have a lot more we want to offer our little makers and we are constantly learning, creating and evolving with them in mind.
