Studiyo was born of Lina's search for a playtime activity for her son. Her search took her to the annual toy fair in Nuremburg, where she discovered kid-friendly woodworking machines. This gave birth to the idea of an educational toy shop where she would use toys to turn play into learning. And learning into play.

But the plan evolved. An early test run, with her son and his friends, taught her that woodworking was more than a useful pastime; it was a way to teach essential life skills.

She established Studiyo Lab to realise this potential. Since then, our workshops and tailored programs have helped thousands of children to playfully, effortlessly pick up problem-solving, creativity, and STEAM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math concepts.

Our woodworking workshops began as after-school sessions. Over the years, we added to the variety and duration of the programs, designing them to meet bigger and more varied learning goals for children, families, schools, and corporates.

We have honed the craft of woodworking into a highly effective method to learn design technology, life skills, and STEAM.

We have completed hundreds of workshops at our Dubai and Abu Dhabi Mall locations, helped families learn together, and hosted corporate team-building workshops. We have also partnered with over 10 schools.
